Stance:Nation SoCal Meet/Greet Continued

Thanks Stance:Nation for putting on a good meet, as well as Island Motorsports. It was a really great meet, lots of amazing cars and some chill locals. Aside from the police run bys everything seemed calm. The only thing that killed me at the meet was the weather… I have a really bad tan and I’m sure everyone is burnt all over. Anyways it was good to see the locals all together celebrating life and enjoying each others company. We sometimes envy the stylings of Japan but more recently in the stance movement we are seeing a lot of US influenced culture in Japan. Its funny how it works but it is sure a sight to see. Here are a few pics of some JDM MPVs with what looks to be USDM parts and stanced out to perfection. I wouldn’t mind taking my kids to school in that.

HF5 Continued

Hellaflush has always attracted some of the most amazing people with even more amazing cars. This was my first real event besides Hellaflush 3.5 and I have to say I’ve never experienced anything like this. 800+ cars filling the lot from beginning to end. I got there there at 7:30 and 1/3th of the lot was already filled. This was a sight to see in itself, and I thought I was early!

Though I had a great time I can easily say I spent 100+ hr working on everyones car making sure we were all ready for the meet. Nothing ever goes as planned and as humans we take shortcuts or do things last minute. I personally didn’t get to finish my car but it was worth the experience. As much as you try to plan ahead you don’t really understand the depth of the situation until your there in the last minute trying to mount tape your lip on. Was it worth all the hard work and time invested? Yes, because I did it for me. I honestly didn’t like the vibe I was getting from the locals and I know a lot of people feel the same way. Walking through the lane you can hear all the different chatter and hate. But thats the thing about these kind of events, they attract some of the best and some of the worst. Even though we may be ridiculed or hated on it makes absolutely no difference. I have pride in what I do, and everyone should do the same. This scene is all about creativity, culture, family, etc. Yet the ones trying the hardest, just trying to get a break gets left behind. I’m glad I meet those I have meet with a good mind set and a down to earth attitude and hope to hear from you soon.

Hopefully we will make it up to Norcal for HF6, because this is definitely not the end.

Everyone here at SCM are down to the wire trying to get ready! We have 3 more days! It seems like it was just yesterday that we started preparing and now it seems like we can never have enough time. Well I’m going to stop blabbing and get back to prepping my grill. Heres a teaser for the new SCM stickers available @ HF5 just hit up the SCM crew.
